Slope and linear equation

Y = m(x) + b
Output= slope times the input plus the y intercept
Y-intercept: where the line crosses the y axis.
Slope is the change in y divided by the change in x.

Slope is the ration of the changes in y divided by the changes in x.

Slope gives direction to the next point when only allowed to use up/ down an left/right.

Unit price project 7th grade

Pick one object.... I chose coffee for my example

Students must choose 6-10 different pictures with prices from fliers that represent their object.

Then they must find the unit rate for each object. Price per pound, ounce, whatever just make sure all items are measured in the same unit or you will need to convert.
